“Pyro” Written by Chris Wills & Louie Diller (2020)
Wrote this song by accident one day while parking my car down at Louie’s old place. Doe Paoro (Sonia) was coming over to sing on “Carry You Home” and then all of the sudden the bridge melody and chorus melody popped into my head. I was early for the session but I was really excited so I ran to Louie’s. He was a bit perturbed as he was trying to eat dinner by candle light and listen to jazz. But then I told him I hear a song and sang it, he became less annoyed. We went out and at the end of the night he was signing it back a little bit to me. I sort of forgot about it. Next morning I woke up and tried to figure out how to play it on guitar but gave up after 5 minutes! Then a few hours later Louie emailed me with a demo including a verse melody he wrote.
Later, someone I liked texted me to come over after we agreed to not see each other for a bit, I knew I should not have gone, but I did. And here you have pyro!
Lyrics:
So I let you back into my life again after all Even after what you did to me
Now my friends are talking bout’ it you should Hear what they say
But who cares about them anyway
Oh I’m addicted to you
Blame it on each other cause’ it’s what we do Playing with fire’s never good for me
But baby I’m a pyro and you’re wood for me
When you left me then I found a girl who’s Good for my health
She came from a good family
She was good at all the things you’d think a Girl to be
But couldn’t get dirty with me
But my friends said she’s good for me
We’re perfect for each other yeah in harmony But the whole time I was thinking of you Playing with fire’s always best with two
One minute and we’re already kissing Hey ay
One minute and we’re never gonna listen Hey ay
Turns out I’m addicted to you
Even through the things you continue to do Playing with fire’s never good for me
But baby I’m a pyro and you’re wood for me
Oh I’m addicted to you
Blame it on each other cause' it’s what we do Playing with fire’s never good for me
But baby I’m a pyro and you're wood for me

“L.A. On My Mind” Written by Chris Wills (2020)
Lyrics
I'm packing up my car
Putting my things away
Dogs are in the yard
And they're barking all the way I don't know what I'm doing But I don't wanna stay
I'm leaving with LA on my mind
And I know just what you're thinking And yes I understand
I ain't got no job
But I don't give a damn I’m going to California with no place to land
I'm leaving with LA on my mind
Well I'm going to California
With the wind blowing through my hair
It feels so good just look I'm almost there I'm gonna put my foot on the gas
I'm leaving ain't looking back
Cause' I'm gone you see
Leaving with LA on my mind
I've been hanging round' town There's nothing to see
I've talked to all the people Bout' old memories
Is this the total sum
Of all I'll ever be?
Well I'm leaving with LA on my mind
And I tried to play it nice
But I can't keep faking
I feel it in my blood
There ain't no hesitating
I don't know what I'll find
But I can't keep waiting
I'm leaving with LA on my mind
Well I'm going to California
With the wind blowing through my hair
It feels so good just look I'm almost there I'm gonna put my foot on the gas
I'm leaving ain't looking back
Cause' I'm gone you see
Leaving with LA on my mind
Yeah I'm leaving leaving Ooo yeah
Yeah I'm leaving leaving Ooo yeah
Yeah I'm leaving leaving That's it I'm leaving Leaving leaving ohh
Well I'm putting my foot on the gas I'm leaving ain't looking back Cause' I'm gone you see
Leaving with LA on my mind
Cause' I'm gone you see Leaving with LA on my mind

“Carry You Home (ft. Doe Paoro) Written by Chris Wills (2020)
Lyrics:
I've been trying to let you know
I got it all figured out
A troubled mind makes a troubled soul But I'll be there with you to grow old
And though the road it may seem weary
And the end is still unknown
And if you can't seem to travel on, baby
Oh I'll be there to carry you home
I've been trying to let you in
I placed my bets on you
But you keep saying it's the wrong way to go But I love you more than you know
And though the road it may seem weary
And the end is still unknown
And if you can't seem to travel on, baby
Oh I'll be there to carry you home
You gotta keep your head up And never don't you let up You gotta keep working it out
You gotta keep your mind strong And not afraid to be wrong
You gotta just let it out
And though the road it may seem weary
And the end is still unknown
And if you can't seem to travel on, baby
Oh I'll be there to carry you home
And though the road it may seem weary
And the end is still unknown
And if you can't seem to travel on, baby
Oh I'll be there to carry you home
Oh I'll be there to carry you home

“Payphone Love” Written by Chris Wills & Louie Diller (2020)
I didn’t release this song as a single but here’s a really ‘on the nose’ photo of me on a payphone in Echo Park, CA 2020 near Sunset Blvd. Some background on the song, I caught some heavy feels for a girl that maybe was into me, maybe she wasn’t. It was hard to tell. Sometimes it felt like I was being used other times not so much. Ultimately her feelings most certainly weren’t as strong as mine and I believe she chose the path of being with guys with a lot of money. But one day after some recording sessions I took a walk in the park and just relaxed. I stopped caring about this whole thing. Then I picked up my guitar, played an A chord, and this song jumped out. I got stuck on some lyrics when we were already scheduled to record, so I finished writing the song in her bedroom room to soak up the energy and the song was finished! (Ummm maybe a little creepy haha!)
Lyrics:
You call me over
Late at night
You start the oven
Then say goodnight
I don't want payphone love
You look right at me Then tell me lies You use your body As a disguise
I don't want payphone love I don't want your payphone
You only like me
When you're alone
Using men to
To keep you warm
I don't want payphone love
I don't want your payphone love
But it's, "Whatever happened that I can't get to you?"
And you're looking at me like you want me, want me too
And it's, "Something in my body knows stay away"
Cause' I don't like the way you move Talking bout' payphone love
And now it's over
And we are too
You call me over
I say we're through
I don't want payphone love
I don't want your payphone love
But it's, "What ever happened that I can't, get to you?"
And you're, looking at me like you want me, want me too
And it's, "Something in my body knows, stay away"
Cause' I don't like the way you move Talking bout' payphone love
Don't give me your water
Don't give me your moods
Don't give me your demons
Because I'm done with you
Don't win me over, then
Then say my name
I'd give you everything But I want the same
Don't give me your water
Don't give me your moods
You wait forever because I'm done with you
I don't want your payphone love
But it's, "Whatever happened that I can't, get to you?"
And you're looking at me like you want me, want me too
And it's, "Something in my body knows, stay away"
Cause' I don't like the way you move Talking bout' payphone love

I decided to self title this because one, I’m a bit bad with naming things! I mean come on, my ‘artist’ name is the same one on my birth certificate. And 2, this is my first proper release and no-one has ever heard of me. Figured it was a nice way to introduce myself. I think it’s fitting though too, this is me and these are the songs I write. I’m not playing a character or anything, I want to be authentic to myself.
